Sean Mandable
Senior Software Engineer
Senior software engineer based in Connecticut. I've been building things on the web since around 2008, and noticing when things are a little off for about as long.
That's what most of the work on this site is about: the typo, the twenty-five-minute build, the brown sign I can't identify from the highway, the accessibility grade that should be an A instead of a D. The unglamorous stuff that makes the glamorous stuff possible, and the small wins that give teammates their afternoons back.
I spent 2021–2025 leading the in-house rebuild of TriNet's corporate website. Vue 2/Nuxt to Vue 3/Astro, D to A on accessibility, and a build pipeline that went from 25 minutes to 1. Before that, DiscoverOrg (now ZoomInfo), a few years of independent consulting, and a winding road through a couple of agencies and front-end gigs going back to the 2000s.
When I'm not doing that I'm building my own apps (Brown Sign, Saddle, Kelvin Caliper), or writing, or hiking, or ignoring all of the above.
Currently open to senior engineering roles, remote or Hartford-area.
